Karen has spent many years working in animal shelters, city pounds and humane societies, with special attention to shelter dog behaviour and population medicine.  After many years of this Karen switched to working in clinic environments.  Karen has worked as an assistant as well as reception and continues to do so at Three Islands. Karen spends her time with her Dalmatian “Lego” and Chinese Crested “Disco”. Karen loves any time she can get with her granddaughter Violet, who is very helpful managing Karen's many chickens, bees, ducks and turkeys.
